Situation:
Independent record company Treetop Records is about to release its first record -
Chasing Lunatics by Deborah Poppink. The record label needs a logo.
Here is where you come in: this new record company will soon be printing this logo
on all CDs, videos and DVDs. It needs an image to go with its name: Treetop Records
needs an identifying logo!
Task:
To create a logo for Treetop Records that would look great and stand out on
the bottom of a CD. (And do some art, get into your creativity and make something
cool).
Info:
Submissions will be judged by the President of Treetop Records and her cabinet of
advisors and may be based on creativity, originality, aesthetics, fun, musicality
and use of space and color. What we'd really like is for the logo to somehow convey the DEBPOP.COM Mission Statement: To inspire, educate and entertain.
Guideline:
Logos should include the phrase "Treetop Records" somewhere in the
design. Beyond that, it's all up to you.
Submission:
Send logos to cabinet@debpop.com, please include your name, your preferred email
address, and your website (if any) and your country of residence.
Logos should be submitted in illustrator-file format. If you want us to consider
your submission, show us the lines and outline all your fonts. Also, please keep all
submissions polite and kid friendly.
Rules:
This contest is void where prohibited. All submissions will be co-owned in equal
shares by artist and debpop.com. Entries must be received by June 30, 2003.
Any prizes awarded will be at the sole discretion of debpop.com. The grand
prizewinner will have their name credited on the album for "logo design".
All qualifying entrants will be recognized on the website. This contest is for music and
independent artists everywhere and we need your help!
The entry must be your original design, and not a copy that may be subject to
copyright laws. All submitters acknowledge that they are indemnifying and holding
debpop.com and Treetop Records harmless against all copyright and trademark
infringement claims.
